St. Luke's Elmore is a small 25-bed critical access hospital. The RN will provide post surgical care to patients following operative and invasive proceduressuch asGeneral Surgeries (Laparoscopic Appendectomies, Cholecystectomies, Hernia Repair, Exploratory Laparotomies, Diagnostic Laparoscopies and open wound repairs), OB/GYN Surgeries (Hysterectomies, Tubal Ligations, Salpingectomies, Oophorectomies, Hysteroscopies, Conizations, C Sections), Endoscopy (Colonoscopy, EGD), and very occasional Urology.

What you can expect from this role
Full TimeMonday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm/hours may varywith rotating on-call (must live 30 minutes from hospital)
Cross-training within surgical services (Pre-Op, Endoscopy, Circulate)
Ratio: 1:1
Patient Population: adolescent to elderly

Qualifications
Education: Nursing Degree
Experience: 1 year of RN experience
Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous surgical experience
